The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially issued the notification for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2026 on 12 February 2026. With this announcement the registration process for admission into the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) has begun. The exam serves as a common national-level assessment for applicants who wish to pursue teacher education programmes in prestigious institutions such as Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) National Institutes of Technology (NITs) Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs). The online application window opened on 12 February 2026 and applicants can submit their forms until 10 March 2026 (11:50 PM). The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode on 17 April 2026.

Step 1 > Open the official NTA NCET portal and complete the registration to generate a unique Application Number.

Step 2 > Log in using your details and fill in personal, academic, and contact information.
